Embers of The Phoenix by Shea Leigh is a fast paced Romantasy. While containing found family and slow burn romance with just the right amount of spice.

When Amelia grows up in the castle of her father, she is kept inside. After her mother disappeared when she was young, her father searched for her everywhere violently and became over protective of the daughter she had left behind. Seeing nothing beyond the castle for most of her life, when the opportunity arose in not so good circumstances, she made her way away. Knowing those that had lost their lives to let her escape, she tried but was captured. She had the letter she received from her mother on her 21st birthday, and knew where she was supposed to go. When she was captured, a man in the shadows of the cell spoke to her and what followed would change her life forever.
what i loved
All in all this was an incredible fantasy that brought you into the emotions of the main character and the found family she falls into. The characters are well-developed and the story moves perfectly. The spice is excellently placed and never takes away from the story. I cannot wait to continue this series.
