Summary (spoiler-free)
Direbound is a fantasy with an incredible storyline. The book takes you with Meryn as she goes from being a caregiver in a poverty stricken region, to having her own sister kidnapped in the night. When this happens, Meryn signs up for the Army determined to go to the front and save her sister. The day she shows up to begin her training, she is told that there will be bonding trials. Bonding trials are when soldiers ascend in the hopes that a wolf will choose to bond with them. Even after the small possibility of surviving the climb, she would have to survive the bonding trials created to cull the weak from the pack and let only the strongest to go on to graduation as Bonded. Meryn deals with romance, friendships, the never-ending fight to save her sister and finds herself along the way.
